Studio Paintings

Original oil paintings made in the studio of local Glacier National Park fine art painter: Falina Sinopah Lintner.

Falina’s studio paintings are drawn from her time spent exploring Glacier National Park’s summits and trails, past and present, flora and fauna, myths, and natural history. To create a composition she looks to this knowledge and to moments that remain with her to formulate sketches. She will move from graphite and color thumbnail drawings to scale and sometimes full size sketches before continuing to canvas. Then she works in progressive layers: beginning with a pencil sketch, followed by thin washes of oil color, finishing with visceral brush strokes. The finished images are full of vitality and reverence. They appear as intimate experiences translated through memory into saturated yet blurred, informed yet romanticized scenes.

Falina uses these studio paintings to develop her product line of Glacier National Park fine art stickers, making memories into mementos to carry the extraordinary into ordinary life.

If you are interested in purchasing an original studio painting or commissioning an artwork, please contact me at artistfalina@gmail.com so we can begin a dialogue. Rest assured that although it may take me some time to respond (my life takes me out-of-service and off-grid) your inquiry is a priority.

Many of these studio originals are currently available to be viewed in person at Spotted Bear Distillery in downtown Whitefish, Montana. You can also buy a reproduction of these artworks in the form of fine art prints, and stickers.
